Analysis

While Google (Alphabet) is rushing from one high to the next, the Baidu share has temporarily slumped by more than 70% from its high of USD 284.23 to USD 82.02. The Chinese internet giant is currently trading at around USD 120. The share could be attractive for an initial entry at this level. According to the Elliott Wave Theory, a complex correction wave “w-x-y” could have been completed and Baidu could therefore be in the very early stages of a wave “iii”.

Conclusion

As long as the USD 90 mark holds, Baidu could rise to over USD 200 or even USD 300 in the coming years.
Below USD 90, a final worst-case target of around USD 66 would have to be factored in.
